About my comic, well... I need to work on it. I would like to have enough time, but it is very hard for me to get enough hours in a row to work on my personal project, but I am not abandoning it.

rosarjc’s ultimate recap 2023 and 2024

Hey, hey, hey, It’s me rosarjc, it was hard to write this letter because, first I’m not a native English speaker, second there’s a lot of things that happened this year, and the year before this.

The people who doesn’t know my story, don’t worry it will not take a lot of your time, I’ll try to be brief, and of course I’ll focus in the main points.

If you look carefully, my account was created at December 6th in 2023, so my account is more or less one year and one month old, but in this year and one month I’ve uploaded “104 pieces of art”, and to be fair 12 of them are comics, and some of them have the version in Spanish, so there are 6 comics, the HERSSANA project has 118 pages and 31 in miscellaneous comics (at my knowledge), unfortunately the HERSSANA project need a reset, oh well, there’s a lot of art, anyway HERSSANA is a project I want to put all my efforts until the end of my life, maybe it may take more time, but the quality it’s the most important to me, also I want to start accepting commissions to finance the project, I don’t want to open a Patreon or Ko-fi (yet), I don’t thing I am a big artist to have those kind of accounts 😅.

In this recap, I want to make my personal list, of the best pieces I’ve ever made in this year in order of publication and why those pieces are important for me.

1st. The piece that started everything: The Final and my Sloth

This comic was my entry for the Sweet Sixteen Comic Contest, hosted by @KittyHawkMontrose, this contest motivated me to draw again after years of avoiding the drawing. If the contest hadn't happened, my Newgrounds account would never be created. Also I met @KittyHawkMontrose here, and currently we have a good relationship.

2nd. The piece when I started to meet amazing people: What does a wild sylveon eat?

This Illustration was made for the Pokémon Mystery Meat Collab, hosted by ---------- and @whimsical-wife. Besides meeting ---------- and @whimsical-wife, I met @Creeperforce24 and @EmsDeLaRoz. And currently I’m keeping a good relationship with @whimsical-wife, @Creeperforce24 and @EmsDeLaRoz.

3rd. The piece to think about our planet: Earth Day 2024

This piece includes a little comic, a brief one but I am very proud of this one.

4th. Cassy: An Unexpected Meeting

In this year. When I started in Newgrounds, I was alone, too alone, and no one followed me, publishing here gave me a new perspective of talents and works over the world, and now, looking back, I can see how much I grew up, we are over 250 people. Newgrounds is my favorite website and I would choose it again. And easily I can say this year is the best year of my life.

In other news I'm working with Herssana, I bought special brushes to simulate the original comic colors, instead to work with RGB, I work with CMYK, It is fun to use and I made a test Illustration to see how it looks, I need your honest opinion because I want to use it in my next comics:

Hello there beautiful people from the internet, I really apologize for the inactivity. I have a life offline, and a lot responsabilities, Fortunately the school is over and I can make Illustrations again.

H E R S S A N A

One person asked me before this post about my comic, okey about the comic I want to say next thing:

Herssana will take more time for this reason, I want to make the full script of the comic, I really invested my time in studying story telling, because I want to make something special, that means a second re-start, this re-start going to talk the beginning of the Herssen empire, starting with Meiss Mayer's mother and how Meiss Mayer became Meiss Mayer, I think is fair to talk about that first, the current Herssen Tales going to be erased to avoid misunderstandings.

I want to create a special discord only to share drawing material and things related to Herssana.

After finnish the script of Herssana, I will be able to draw a proper comic book. and I learnt to explain a lot in less panels, for example the comic Herssen tales II has a lot of pages but explains a little or nothing.

I want to make commissions, but I don't know how to start. Any advice is welcomed and I don't know exactly how much to charge per one illustration.
